Their work is to evaluate and record test data, inspect all equipment and projects to ensure that they are operating properly and are safe to use, conduct surveys on the given project, and compile reports. An engineering aide is responsible for assisting the engineering operations by finalizing construction and manufacturing designs, inspecting tools and equipment, and assembling model components according to schematics and blueprints that are provided. They also have to coordinate with clients for progress updates and plan adjustments and other duties include writing cost reports, troubleshooting defective equipment, and operating complex technical systems.

Requirements

  • Operate engineer’s transit and level on location surveys and on construction operations to establish alignment
  • Analyze project to give elevation for grade and slope stakes
  • Perform cross sections and Establish benchmarks and stakes for construction
  • Support professional engineering staff and technical personnel in the survey, drafting, research and operational activities
  • Develop charts and graphs for reports and presentations
