For this reason, Tax examiners are required to examine and analyse tax returns to ensure that taxpayers are reporting their income correctly. They need to look for patterns of behaviour or inconsistencies in the information provided by taxpayers these patterns indicate whether the tax payers are being honest or not about their incomes and earnings.

Tax examiners also have to work in cooperation with other auditors and accountants to identify areas where taxpayers may be hiding money or assets from the government. Tax evasion can include many things including anything from undeclared cash deposits to unreported business revenue.

  • They need to Understand all different types of tax forms and use each in the appropriate situation
  • Prepares tax returns documents for corporations or individuals

The Tax Examiner must be educated and have a high school pass out, in addition, the Tax Examiner should have completed a Three year college degree with majoring in business, economics, accounting or finance preferred, such as a Bachelor of Commerce (B Com), Bachelor of Business Administration in finance (BBA Finance), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) etc.
