2. Fitness Skills

The physical trainer needs to be proficient in different exercise techniques and their impact on the client. They must know different exercises such as weight training, cardio, lightweight training etc. to fit with the different needs of a client.

3. Dietician Skills

The fitness trainer must know what foods will help the clients achieve their goals. For example, if a client is looking to gain weight, the trainer must suggest a calorie surplus diet and on the contrary, if the client is trying to lose weight, the fitness trainer must suggest a calorie deficit diet.

4. Motivating Skills

The Fitness trainer must know how to motivate the clients and help them push harder so that they can achieve their desired physic and fulfil their goals. Sometimes the client may feel tired or uninterested, it is the job of a Physical Fitness instructor to motivate them for a physical workout.

A personal trainer works at a gym or as a freelancer working for different clients, sometimes at once. They have to work with clients on a personal level to understand their needs and requirements.

Most personal trainers work for an hour or two with a single client however their work schedule is mostly similar to a 9 to 5 job as they need to handle different clients each hour.

If working at a gym, they have to oversee all that is happening inside the gym. As certified Physical Trainers, they can work in different fitness sectors or be a freelancer to choose the type of clients they want and the place they want to teach fitness.

Salary Package

The average income for a Physical trainer in India is around 20,000 to 30,000 INR. The amount may vary depending upon your experience, skills, employer or even the city you live in.
