Introduction

The COMED-K Entrance Exam, also known as COMEDK UGET, is a state-level exam conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. This exam is held for students seeking admission into undergraduate engineering courses at around 190 engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. Around 20,000 seats are offered through COMEDK UGET, with the number of applicants standing at more than seventy-two thousand this year. For the COMED-K Entrance Exam, every student of Indian nationality is eligible. The COMED-K Entrance Exam thus plays a crucial role in shaping the future of many aspiring engineers.

 

Admission to BITS

The exam conducting authority of BITSAT has released the BITSAT eligibility criteria for 2022 along with the official notification on the official website and the applicants appearing for the exam must check the BITSAT eligibility criteria for 2022 before filling out the application form. The eligibility criteria of BITSAT 2022 comprise the qualifying exam, age limit and minimum marks required for admissions, however, BITSAT 2022 eligibility criteria are released separately for all the courses. 

Some common qualifying factors are that the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects if they have taken Mathematics in BITSAT or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects if they have taken Biology in BITSAT in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology subjects.

Qualifying exam

  • Candidate should have passed the qualifying exam i.e PUC or finished 10+2 level of education
  • Mathematics should be one of the mandatory subjects along with other subjects.

For Diploma Holders

Diploma candidates are not eligible for the entrance exam and there are no lateral admission scheme

Subjects required in the qualifying exam

The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject in the last two years

Marks in the qualifying exam

  • The minimum marks required is 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics all together
  • the candidate must pass each of these subjects individually
  • Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects
  • in place of Chemistry, the candidate may have Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects

Marks in the qualifying exam for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka State

  • The minimum marks required is 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics all together
  • the candidate must pass each of these subjects individually
  • Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects
  • in place of Chemistry, the candidate may have Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects

Application Process

Step 1 Registration

The students will have to complete the COMEDK UGET 2023 registration process from the official website and they have to fill in basic details like name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number

Step 2 ID Password

After the successful registration, the user id and password are generated which will be sent to the registered email id

Step 3 Filling the form

The next step is to fill details in the application form of COMEDK UGET 2023 with details like personal, academic, communication and others along with the required details, applicants also need to fill the three exam centre choices in the application form

Step 4 Uploading documents

The candidates must upload the relevant documents in the application form as per the required format, here are the documents required

  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Signature of father/guardian
  • Unique ID proof

Step 5 Payment of application fee

The final step is to fill the application fee of COMEDK UGET which will be done online and Applicants can pay the COMEDK UGET application fee through net banking, credit, and debit cards
