Introduction

The IPU-CET (B. Tech) Exam, also known as the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test, is an opportunity for students striving for admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGS IPU), sometimes referred to as I.P. University, conducts the IPU-CET (B. Tech) Exam for admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, law, etc. The candidates are given admission through IPU CET and they will be admitted either through National Level Test conducted or through Common Entrance Tests (CET) conducted by the University or on the merit of the qualifying degrees. However, it is to be noted that there shall be no CET for admissions to BTech, BA LLB and BBA LLB, LLM and BArch programmes. The University is located near Delhi which is one of the main reasons why it attracts thousands of students for engineering courses in its various colleges through the IPU-CET (B. Tech) Exam.

 

Eligibility Criteria

In order to participate in the admission procedure, the candidates who are willing to get admission in the B.Tech courses offered by the university are required to meet the IPU B.Tech 2022 eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are made up of various factors such as age, academics and more qualifications that the candidates need to meet to be allotted the offered B.Tech seats. Age Restriction

For the 2022 Exams, the applicant must be 21 years old as of August 1, 2022.

Academic Requirements

  • Candidates should have passed a 10+2 level of education or equivalent qualifying examination from a central or state board or any equivalent exam
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2022 will also be eligible for admissions

Marks Required

  • Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • They must also have passed these subjects individually
  • Should have also passed English as a subject of study

Marks Requirements for People with Quota

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel and Persons with Disability candidates will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks.

JEE Main Qualification

The Candidate must have appeared and qualified JEE Main Paper I

Medical Condition of the Candidate

Blind (including colour blind), deaf and/or dumb candidates will not be eligible for admission in these courses

IPU B.Tech 2022 Registration

The Candidates are required to complete the registration process by entering the details like program group, program name, name, mobile number, email id and more.


If the registration is successful, credentials will be shared to the registered email ID and contact number.

Filling the IPU B.Tech application form

By using the received credentials, candidates have to log into the account and click on “Fill Application Form” and enter all the required details such as personal details, qualification details, and program details

Upload documents

In This Step, candidates will have to upload the photograph and signature in the specified format which would be in either of JPEG, JPG or GIF format and between 10 KB to 100 KB file size

Preview and Submit

click on the “Preview” tab to review all the entered details and submit it. Once the application will be submitted successfully, candidates other than exempted categories will be automatically redirected to Online Payment Gateway

Payment of application fee

The Candidates are required to make a payment of Rs. 1200 after which a printout of the generated payment acknowledgement slip could be taken
