Introduction

The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam or commonly known as VITEEE is an annual entrance exam conducted by VIT i.e Vellore Institute of Technology for admission to engineering courses at their university which is located on 2 campuses namely, Chennai and Vellore. Admission to their university for B.Tech and Engineering degrees is completely on the basis of performance in the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam. The VITEEE is a very similar exam to JEE and even the syllabus are same however, JEE Main level is higher than the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam.

 

Eligibility Criteria

In order to participate in the admission procedure, the candidates who are willing to get admission in the B.Tech courses offered by the university are required to meet the VIT University B.Tech 2022 eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are made up of various factors such as age, academics and more qualifications that the candidates need to meet to be allotted the offered B.Tech seats. Age Restriction

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for Under Graduate Engineering admission (UGEA) 2022.


The date of birth as recorded in the High School or SSC or HSC Certificate will be considered authentic.

Citizenship

The applicant should be a Resident or a Non Resident of the Indian National or PIO.


Foreign Candidates who studied or are studying abroad can apply directly through the foreign category.

Education

Candidates applying for UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2022 for The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education either CBSE or New Delhi, The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi or Equivalent

Subjects For general category

Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission should have secured minimum aggregate of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and MathematicsBiology in the qualifying examination

Subjects For Candidates belonging to SC/ST, hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination

VITEEE 2022 Registration

The Candidates are required to visit the official website- vit.ac.in and click on the new registration link for B.Tech admissions. 


If the registration is successful, credentials will be sent through SMS and email to the registered number and mail address.

Login Password

The login password will be sent by the authorities to the registered email id of candidates if they are successful at registration

Filling out VITEEE 2022 Application Form

The students are required filling the application form where they will have to provide information about their personal, educational, qualifying exam, and contact details. An Application number will be created after this process

Payment of VIT Application Fee

The candidates are required to make a payment of the fee in online mode through a Debit card, Credit card, or Net banking.

Uploading of Photograph and Signature

In This Step, candidates will have to upload the photograph and signature in the specified format

Final Submission of the application

Candidates need to check all details provided on the online application form of VITEEE 2022 before doing the final submission and Download the filled-in application form as a PDF file and take a printout of the same
