The Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test (FDDI AIST) is conducted by the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI). This entrance test is designed to shortlist candidates for admission to professional programs in Footwear Design, Leather Goods & Accessory Design, Fashion Design, and Retail & Fashion Merchandise. It is important to note that the Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test (FDDI AIST) 2023 entrance exam will be held in Pen and paper mode with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. This is a national level exam and is conducted only for Indian Citizens who aspire to take the Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test (FDDI AIST).

Age Criteria

According to the FDDI AIST eligibility criteria, candidates who are of 25 years as of 25th June 2023 are eligible for the entrance test

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed or appeared in the 10+2 board exam in any stream from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or their equivalent are eligible


Candidates yet to seem for their Higher Secondary examination are eligible to apply, but they have to give proof of having appeared for the examination during the Counseling process of FDDI programs

For Graduation candidates

Final year graduation candidates are also eligible to apply by providing their graduation degree or final mark sheet before September 30, 2023, to their admission officer.

Application Process

Step 1 Registration

Log on to the Official website of FDDI and click on the “Apply Online” button and then click on the “New User” link and provide all the details in order to create a registration ID.

Step 2 Fill out the form

The next step is to fill details in the application form for Footwear Design and Development Institute with more information like personal, academic, communication, and others along with the required details

Step 3 Uploading documents

The candidates must upload the relevant documents in the application form as per the required format, here are the documents required


latest passport size photograph (not more than three months old) in jpg, png, or gif format and in max 90KB and Signature in Maximum 30 KB size

Step 4 Make the payment

The final step is to fill the application fee, which is INR 600/- for General and OBC Candidates and 300 for ST, SC and PwD candidates. Applicants can pay the application fee through net banking, credit, and debit cards

Step 5 Submit AIST application form

After filling in all the details as mentioned above aspirants need to submit the application form for FDDI AIST, once done with the FDDI registration, the applicant candidates will be provided with a unique application/registration number which they need to use for all future reference.
